Ikeshtis are compact, red-scaled lizard people shaped by Akiton's difficult conditions. Their communities vary enormously, but ingenuity, close bonds and making resources last are recurring themes. Repairing and repurposing objects can be both a practical necessity and a source of pride. Many who leave home continue supporting those they left behind. Where someone else sees an exhausted scrapyard, an ikeshti may see a supply depot waiting for a competent person to sort it out.
