G'folians are shelled, six-legged people from Inthana in Kazmurg's Absurdity, with additional clawlike arms for manipulating objects. Their traditions encompass serious philosophical enquiry and an often complicated relationship with wider interstellar society. They are also capable of expelling flame thanks to their unusual digestive chemistry. A g'folian therefore provides an excellent reminder that a contemplative temperament and a dramatic biological defence can comfortably inhabit the same person. Seminar room ventilation remains advisable.
