Gnarefuroids are soft-bodied scavengers with sensory tendrils and a knack for incorporating available material into protective shells. Their culture grew around transforming waste into useful resources, while expanding tastes and curiosity drew them into wider society. Each comes from a larger organism known as a gigafuroid, or home mother. Their appearance can be an extraordinary assemblage of found objects. Underneath it is an intelligent neighbour whose ideas about food and interior decoration may take some getting used to.
