Halflings have embraced interstellar life with courage, adaptability and a capacity to build connections far from home. Their celebrated luck is only one part of a heritage also marked by resilience and personal freedom. Some settle at the centre of busy communities; others follow the next departure board towards a new beginning. Their stature says little about the scale of their ambitions. A halfling can take a very large risk while remaining entirely clear about who will bear its cost.
